Using of AAC

Introduction

Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC) is ideal non-load bearing applications. The AAC block is most recommended masonry block for wall partition. Nextblock AAC products can be used as traditional masonry blocks. The installation and using of the AAC block can be done by following:

  • Pre-Curing
    Before wall formation blocks are required to soak in the water for 15 to 20 mins.
  • Post-Curing
    15 days post curing is recommended for plaster and block joints.
  • Storing the Blocks
    Blocks needs to be stack on dry and even surface to avoid contact with moisture. It us recommended that the blocks be placed on a planks or other support. Block must be covered in rainy season.
  • Coping Beam
    Coping beam must be 2 nos, 8mm reinforcement after every 1.5-2 meter depending on site.
  • Placing the Lintel
    The lintel should be placed on a complete block.
  • Laying the Blocks
    Care must be taken to place the blocks vertically into position as this prevents the mortar from being displaced
